On May 15th, Professor Shanxue Sun attended the parallel session “Co-Integration and Co-Development: Smart Ecosystem Construction in Vocational Education” at the 2025 World Digital Education Conference and delivered an expert speech. He elaborated on the application and significance of digital intelligence technology in reforming key elements of China's vocational education, including building professional systems, developing new target classifications, and constructing learning resource systems. He also introduced the Indicator System for Digital Intelligence Literacy of Vocational Education Teachers to assist in the digital intelligence transformation of vocational education.
The 2025 World Digital Education Conference was held in Wuhan, Hubei from May 14th to 16th. Co-hosted by the Ministry of Education, the Chinese National Commission for UNESCO, and the People's Government of Hubei Province, the conference themed "Education Development and Transformation: The Era of Intelligence", set up 10 parallel sessions covering multiple fields such as basic education, vocational education, higher education, lifelong learning, teacher development, and international artificial intelligence and education.
More than 110 representatives from education departments, institutions of higher learning, and industry enterprises in 20 countries and regions participated in the parallel session on "Co-Integration and Co-Development: Smart Ecosystem Construction in Vocational Education". The participants discussed the grand plan for the digital transformation and development of vocational education, providing valuable experience and practical references for globally empowering the high-quality development of vocational education with digital technology.
